Privacy Policy

RobotBits do not disclose buyers’ information to third parties other than when order details are processed as part of the order fulfillment. In this case, the third party will not disclose any of the details to any other third party.

Cookies are used on this shopping site to keep track of the contents of your shopping cart, to store delivery addresses if the address book is used and to store your details if you select the ‘Remember Me’ Option. They are also used after you have logged on as part of that process. You can turn off cookies within your browser by going to ‘Tools | Internet Options | Privacy’ and selecting to block cookies. If you turn off cookies, you will be unable to place orders or benefit from the other features that use cookies.Data collected by this site is used to:

Making A Purchase

Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on ‘Checkout’ and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.

We accept payment by PayPal & credit card. The credit cards we accept are Visa and Mastercard.

When confirmation of order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.


Shipping And Handling

All items will be shipped by registered or special delivery.

Larger, heavier items are dispatched using a courier service. This is normally a 24-48 hour service. The Carrier service will require a signature upon receipt for proof of delivery and can deliver between 8am and 7.30pm on the day of delivery

If the carrier can not deliver the item because no-one is home to receive the order, they will leave a card with a contact number detailing how to arrange a more convenient delivery date. If the carrier receives no contact from you they will return the package to us after a period of approximately 5 working days. This may result in extra shipping costs being incurred for redelivery

All UK orders over £50 are shipped for FREE! All order under £50 incur a flat-rate shipping charge of £3.95.

A shipping charge will be made for other available countries according to weight. Please ask for more details before placing your order.

Full payment is required prior to dispatch.

Warranty The warranty conditions are those offered by the manufacturers. You may communicate with Robotbits or directly with the manufacturer. Robotbits is a reseller of many products and is not responsible in any case for the failure of a product manufactured by another company. However, in the spirit of always wanting to better serve its clients, Robotbits is willing to serve as an intermediary to exchange and communicate with the manufacturer in order to ensure that the client receives a satisfying service for which he paid. Along these lines, Robotbits does not tolerate suppliers that do not take responsibility for their defective products. Robot Kits: It is important to note that robot kits may not be exchanged or refunded once they are assembled in part or in entirety. Only defective components will be replaced if the need arises. Along these lines, please carefully read the construction instructions for the robot and ensure that they are understood before commencing construction. Work carefully on a clean table and take regular breaks in order to maintain your concentration. Our manufacturers provide the necessary instructions for proper construction of their robot kits but can not be held responsible for mistakes made by the builder.
Specialized Components: The same goes for all specialized components and robot parts. All products sent back to Robotbits on warranty will be inspected in order to determine if the problem was caused by a manufacturing problem and not improper use.All goods are covered by a full manufacturers warranty and in the event of your equipment becoming faulty, contact us and we will arrange to have it repaired under the terms of the warranty.

Returns Policy

Your rights to return goods are protected under the EU Distance Selling Directive which can be found at http://www.hmso.gov.uk/si/si2000/20002334.htm


If you believe that you have received a product that is faulty then we ask you to return the product to us in order that we can test it. It would be helpful if you could provide a note explaining the fault in detail and a copy of your order. If it is found to be faulty we will ship you a replacement or give a refund and refund to you the cost of returning the product to us.

If the product is found not to be faulty it is likely that you have either bought the wrong product or that it is not compatible with your equipment. In this case we would treat the return as a return of non faulty goods as described below.


If you decide within 7 days of receipt of a product that you do not want to keep them then they can be returned to us for a refund or replacement with an alternative product.

When the product is received we will check it to make sure that it is in good condition and unopened. If this is the case then we will refund your card less a recovery of the shipping costs (a shipping charge will be made for orders that were delivered free of charge).


Some of our products we offer will have to be made to your personal requirements. Unfortunately we are unable to accept returns where these products are not faulty.


It is your responsibility to ensure that returned goods actually get back to us so we suggest that you use the signed recorded 2nd class mail service. If you use a more expensive service and we are re-imbursing the postage cost we will not re-imburse more than the recorded 2nd class mail cost.

If the goods are not faulty the cost of returning then is your responsibility.
