Description

The Sabertooth Dual 12A Motor Driver is ideal for differential motor control of robots, tanks, cars and boats. It is suitable for weights of 45 kg (15 kg for combat robots).

The two motors can be operated by means of an analog voltage, an RC signal or a serial signal.

The Sabertooth 2x12A has independent modes for speed and direction, making differential control easier. During each slowdown or change of direction of rotation of the motor, the Sabertooth motor driver recharges the battery, allowing a greater autonomy of the robot. It allows sudden changes of direction and quick stops. A 5 VDC output is available to power a microcontroller or RC receiver.

Power supply: 6 to 24 VDC (NiCd, NiMh, Lithium, lead acid battery).

This card can not be powered by AC power.

Output current: – 2 x 12 A continuous (2 x 15 A peak) up to 18 VDC – 2 x 8 A continuous / 2 x 12 A continuous with additional radiator (2 x 15 A peak) 18 to 24 Vdc

Control signal:

– analogue voltage 0 to 5 Vdc (Sabertooth 2×12)

– radio signal RC (Sabertooth 2 x 12 and 2 x 12 R / C)

– serial link (Sabertooth 2 x 12)
